Poured...AGAIN!

There have been a few trials and tribulations with the driveway project which has been ongoing for almost three months now. I'm happy to report it's finally close to being done. The exposed aggregate section of the driveway didn't turn out well the first time so it had to be removed and poured again. Luckily...the second time was the charm and we now we have a lovely new driveway, garage floor, stairs and side walk. After a little more sealing work and a two-week drying period we'll be able to drive up the driveway and park on the garage slab!

Here's how it turned out:
Let the landscaping begin!

  1. That looks awesome! Love the pathway to the door, also. I'm a little shocked at what a difference that made to your curb appeal. It's a legitimate property now. Not just a house amidst a somewhat unkempt yard. Welcome home, cars!

  2. what happened the first time around that the exposed aggregate didn't work out? We also live in Portland and we're scheduled to have some concrete work done soon. The second round looks great! What company did you use? If the name is not something you want to post on the blog, my email is jessica dot bettelheim at gmail dot com. Thanks!

  6. Sorry for the delay in response.... after much searching, we used Foxx Contractors for the job, who subbed Curb Appeal Construction to do the excavation and concrete work. Foxx Contractors owner is Wayne Newman, (503) 980-8116, and Curb Appeal's owner is Richard, (360) 635-2990. Both were excellent to work with!
